I have a 63 and for some dumb reason, Cadillac decided to make the fin lights running lights only that year. I retrofitted mine with LED strips to fix that design problem : )

I thought I took more pics when I did this mod but only found these. I got the LED strips at Fry's locally but that store is closed now. From the pic, it looks like the P/N# is B42LSM1 but not sure if they are still available (mod was a few years ago). There are several LED strips on the market now. These are 12V red flexible, self-adhesive LED strips. You can cut them to length every 3 LEDs. I believe I bought one long strip & had enough to do both fins with some left over. As for wiring, I grounded each strip to the light socket in the fin and drilled a small hole to route the other wire to the brake light for each side. Brake light wiring is easily accessible inside the trunk.
The running lights in the fins still operate as designed. The LED strips only light up with brakes or turn signals.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
