I need the metal hold down metal strap support that attaches to the cross brace to the passenger side hold down post on the 64 and also the small metal clip/loop that locates the positive cable as it passes over the same cross brace.  genefattore@gmail.com

Correct.  I have a Group 60 sealed AGM reproduction AC Delco battery and I have reproduction hold down clamp and rods.  I need the slim metal brace and cable locating loop as requested. Thank you.

Gene, I have the correct style white plastic battery cable hold down clip that goes on top of the radiator support for $10 + s/h. It is seen in the first picture below installed on my 64 CDV.

I say correct style as no one is make an exact reproduction of original which had a press in fastener with white plastic pin that pushes in and locks the clip in place. I've pulled in 44 parts cars and everything, including the 41K mile Fleetwood from a couple years back, had the top clip part broken off. The type I have and use is as close as I have found. To secure to the top of radiator support I use a small screw, lock washer and nut.  Pictures 2 and 3 show what is usually left from the parts cars I bring in. The last picture is from the 1964 serviceman bulletin with happens to have a good picture confirming the original setup.

Clip installed on my 64 CDV:

bather Cable Clip Base and push in pin as seen on parts cars...

CLOSE UP:

And as seen in serviceman bulletin.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
