ok,, thanks,, i just didnt see the inch lbs on the chart,, i see it now, but was thinking ft. lbs.. will do the other side tomorrow, so i will take care to watch the torque press,,

To paraphrase the carpenter's rule of thumb, Read Twice, Wrench Once!  When I am tackling a new subject with my 64 Caddy 'Dino' I will usually read that section in the shop manual, and any other information at my disposal, several times.

yeah, i went back and read it,, and the header says foot lbs, and that s what stuck in my head, i saw the 25 inch lbs upon closer look,, pia,, well, just ride er till it leaks again, then go back in and do it again,

the value under the compressor is a real bear to work on , dismantling all those screws, and getting it out of the way, and then trying to get the piece back in ,,, took a while, but, its in, gonna let it sit a couple hours as the permitex dries and sets.

so should i be using the zinc infused oils, or just strait oils,,, ?  prior discussion suggested the zinc infused oils or oils with zinc additive,,, T or F?

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
