Does anyone know where I can purchase the correct pads and cushion ( body to frame) that go on my 1964 Cadillac convertible. I thinking of replacing them as they are dry rotted but I would like to get them first without taking them off the car. Not sure what to order, size or where to get them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dominic

You should do fine with:

https://www.steelerubber.com/

There are others in "Parts Suppliers".

Also check "Help" for additional information.

Thanks but I have that, when you go to these places they call out details but not sure if they fit my car.

Dom, generally if the seller says they fit your car they will. You can always call them as I do to confirm fitment if your unsure of website details. Sometimes it's cheaper direct calling as some smaller company's use third party hosting and have to pay them a fee.

can these rubber things be replaced one at a time ?  what is the difficulty in this type of operation, mine are a bit crunch looking underneath,,,,is it best to put it on a lift or just on a jack,,

You can change the bottoms with the car all together.  To change the tops, the body has to be lifted off the frame. The fenders will need to be removed to do so.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
