I hope you have had a chance to check out our Feb 63/64 Cadillac Chapter Newsletter. One of the items I included was this print ad I picked up last month. This large newspaper print ad titled “An International Celebrity Arrives at the Fair” featuring a 1964 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan Four Window, appeared in the April 22, 1964 San Francisco Examiner promoting the GM Futurama at the New York World's Fair. After scanning I took out the noise below and above the main photo and added a bit of color to give it some depth.

Tony,
What a lovely, heart-warming story. Thank you for sharing.
Tony and Ginny,
Congratulations on your wedding anniversary! You are a blessed man.
I bought my first Cadillac Deville Convertible in 1989 when I was 24 years old. It was love at first sight. I was working on my first "location shoot" in Wichita Falls, Texas. The movie was Texasville. We'd been working 6 days a week 18 hours a day. Exhausted, late one night I decided to go see a movie. While driving to the local theater, the most beautiful red '64 DeVille Convertible I had ever seen pulled up next to me at the stop light. At the time, I didn't know the model years at all! So, I motioned to the old man driving the thing to roll down his window. I'll never forget the feeling when I saw the power window on the passenger side glide silently down, the chrome stip atop the glass shining in the moonlight. My heart skipped a beat. I can see that moment in my minds eye even now. I asked him what year it was. A '64. The light changed and he drove off. We both hit the next stop light. I had to ask! I waved him to roll down the window again. The passenger window slid down silently. I asked him if he wanted to sell it. He replied, "Well. My wife has been wanting me to get rid of this damn car for years." I said, "Pull over". No inspection, no haggling, nothing. I was in love and gave the old man everything I had; $3,500. I drove that car, my only car, for nearly 10 years until one night it was stolen in Brentwood CA. The police found what was left of her in Pacoima (a rough part of of LA) stripped to the bone. It was a devastating loss and I never forgot the feeling I had every time I drove her.
After almost 25years, I finally have "my Cadillac" back and even though this one is white on black, each time I drive her is like the first time I drove the Deville all those years ago Wichita Falls.
These cars are a gift, indeed.
PS. The chicks loved riding in that big red Deville way back when! ;-)

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
