Another great color - which one is it?  Such a great palette to choose from in those years!

Jason, Thanks for the thread.  I believe I have figured out how to post photos now.  If this works, here a couple of shots from our last car cruise for the season, prior to backing into the garage and pulling the heads.

We often pull a '64 Airstream to cruises.  This was the Labor Day Car, Truck, and Tractor Cruise at a local farm market and greenhouse.  They were kind enough to let me park the evening before and camp overnight.

My photo upload skills are still a work in progress...Here's the second shot (I hope.)

Now that is cool! I always thought about a matching 64 model year Airstream and you have that model year. This would also make a great Newsletter Cover story!!!!

Thanks for your comment Tony and Ginny.  It's a fun combination.  It seems to me, when we take the pair to a car cruise, most of the interest is on the trailer.  I'm guessing through the years, well over a thousand folks have toured the trailer.  I've even heard, "You mean we can touch this one?"  But, when we take the pair to an Airstream rally, all the interest is in the car.

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
