I was watching a YouTube video (I'll attach it below) of a 1964 Fleetwood 60 Special revival and I noticed it was equipped with a rear defrost option (as well as nearly every other option for 1964 incl the Eldorado horn).
Was this a dealer installed option? Is there a blower below the package tray? I didn't know this was an option hence why I am led to believe it was a dealer option-not factory.
Do we have a list or comprehensive knowledge of what dealer options were available?
PS. If anyone has an Eldo Horn and they want to part with it, please let me know!
Thanks,
Logan Robb

This is a good trivia question ... in fact it was a while back. Check out this link: Click Here
The rear window defogger was a dealer option only in 1963 but a factory option in 1964. See Dealer Data Book inserts below. You will also find it on page 3 of your 1964 Cadillac Accessories booklet which you should have with your owners manual in the glove box.

The way it works is it simply draws air across the warm motor and directs onto the window.
Here is a list of all the Factory Accessory Codes. Note that not all appear on the body tag if they are not part of the core body construction.

Note: if anyone is missing this manual I have plenty.

Thanks for the information, Jason!

Hey! I’ve seen the 63/64 power booster and master cylinder combination has been covered very clearly. I’m in the process of replacing mine. I was hoping someone could give me insight on a specific…Continue

I meant to make this a priority over the winter and didn't get that far. I've tried to source all the parts individually, but that is a daunting task. Partly because I don't want to miss any…Continue

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
