The previous owner of my '63 Sedan Deville Park Avenue was not kind to the car. It appears that he bought it without keys and rather than pay a lock smith, he destroyed the tumbler for the trunk lock. I bought a a replacement tumbler and connecting bar. The tumbler is fine. the connecting bar is too short. I have the old one but it is held onto the destroyed lock tumbler by a rivet. Even if I drill out the rivet, the old bar will be good as a template only as it does not have the right angle at the point where it goes through the spring and behind the tumber. Does anyone have any suggestions short of fabrication?
Thank you.

I have the lock cylinder bar connecting bar (shaft) 4 1/4" long and 5 1/4" long. They are different lengths due to different years and those with power trunk locks with the vacuum unlock actuator bolted in front of the trunk latch i deck lid were cut shorter. I can sell you either length for $10 and ship 2 to 3 day Priority to US destinations for $8 for a total of $18. You can measure and see if the 4 1/8" would be long enough, else I can send a 5 1/4" and you can always cut end to length as Master Parts Book advices. If interested shoot me an email to jasonedge@nc.rr.com and I will provide payment details. Be sure to note length and address.

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
