I haven't posted here much lately but wanted to pop in and say hello and share a minor but irritating personal mishap. Last week I tripped over a short ladder in my garage and came down in 4th finger on right hand. I ended up dislodging my last 2 digits of finger and shoving it under the first digit.  It looked CRAZY.   I went to hospital and they X-rayed and reset the finger and set in place with a splint.   They also said I have a minor fracture.

During all of this, even the resetting there was not much pain, but I am an old school finger keyboard typist and it is crazy how long it takes me to type even this short message.  The good news is I am left handed but who "writes" anymore?!

I have also had to shelve my work on the next newsletter which I had just started really getting into.

The good news is we can still Zoom this Sunday!

Anyway, it was not a major medical problem, but thought I would share.  Hope you are all doing well!

Jason,

Sorry to hear about the finger injury.  Hopefully it will heal soon so you can get back to working on your Caddy.  I'm also left handed, so better it happened on the right.  Hope you feel OK.

Dennis DiBari

Thanks. I have figured out how to do everything from post hole digging to lugging parts around one handed but I will be glad to get that finger back for typing!

Jason,
That can be a painful injury. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Mike

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
