I have a 1964 429 engine with the HydraMatic Crankshaft pulled from an running 1964 Cadillac up for sale.
Owner was doing an LS Swap and lived nearby so I picked up the running engine and shifting transmission.
CONDITION. The owner said this engine ran well, had no issues, but wanted a modern powerplant.

From my experience IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. No bolt broke removing any of the manifolds or front engine cover, all nylon is on the camshaft timing gear, and it is just a clean smooth turning engine!
FITS: 1964 Cadillacs with the HydraMatic Transmission (ie. Series 62, 75 Series, Commercial Chassis only). DOES NOT FIT the other 1964 Cadillacs with the Turbo HydraMatic transmission. This is due to the different raised mounting area on the back of the crankshafts for the HydraMatic (3 3/16") vs the Turbo HydraMatic (3").
ALSO FITS: 1963 Cadillacs, but you need to use your 1964 external parts.
HAS HYDRAMATIC CRANK NEEDED TO DROP INTO A 1963 CADILLAC REPLCING THE 390. Simply swap your externals over to this engine. Many of my customers ask if a 1964 429 will bolt into their 1963 to replaced the 390.
PRICE: $800 ($600 for 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter Members)
DUE TO SIZE AND WEIGHT, PICKUP OR SHIPPING BY CUSTOMER.
www.EngineShipping.com is a good source for transporting these, as they have picked up many engines for my customers over the years. These are about 410 lb. If you go with a transport company, they will usually require the engine strapped down to a palate. I charge $75 to prep the engine for transport. This includes providing a palate, and materials to securely strap the engine down to palate and wrap in tarp or other material.
My Address is 104 New Rand Rd, Garner, NC 2752, which is about 10 miles SE of Raleigh, NC and is only 2 miles form Interstate 40, 22 miles from Interstate 95, and 32 miles from Interstate 85 as they cross through NC. If traveling through NC and need a transmission you can save a lot on shipping if you stop by in person.
I CAN DELIVER ... SOMETIMES, If you are not too far from me, or in route to one of my traveling destinations. Ask if you are not sure.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
