When I purchased my 64 Fleetwood, one of the letters on the drivers side was missing, buy the time I drove it over 200 miles home, I had lost another letter. Now, almost a year later, I have an " EE WOOD " on the drivers side.

I was lucky enough to find two full replacements (boy they were NOT cheap) that appear to be either NOS or a New Repop. Either way, they look GREAT!

What is the best way to secure these back on to the fender? I believe from the factory, there were clips on the back side. Without removing the fender, I don't think I can re clip them back on.

Suggestions on getting them back in there and to STAY PUT so I am not throwing money away?

As always, thanks for the help!

I used superglue, and once it set up it was an extremely strong hold. Just be careful and don’t use too much. I first tried using 3m plastic trim adhesive, but it didn’t work well and a letter fell off (luckly in my driveway).
Interesting. Did you just put the super glue on the little pegs and push them in or did you put it on the backside of the letter?

On one side, I don’t have the holes since it’s a replacement fender from a non-fleetwood. So I ground off the pegs and just put glue on the backside of the letter. On the other side, I have the pegs so I used a little on the back of the letter and a little on the peg. Just be careful putting too much on the peg because if will get messy.

Spark Plug Heat Range

I found a diagram that illustrates the main factor in determining a spark plug heat range that I was trying to describe to you during the chapter get together.

Here it is:

The main factor is the length of the ceramic insulator from the middle of the spark plug to the tip (where the spark happens)

The insulator…

Lower Front End Ball Joints

Posted by Logan Robb on May 11, 2023 at 9:04am 7 Comments

Good Morning all!

I took the 64 into the shop to have some adjustments completed and in the process decided to have the lower ball joints replaced as was recommended the last time I had it in. I ordered the parts and came into the shop. They quoted me nearly $500 to replace those lower ball joints requiring nearly 4hrs of labor. Now this is a reputable shop and they know me by name here and they will continue to get my business. I am just questioning what on earth is…
