Hey everyone I’m new to this group so please forgive me if I ask something that’s already been answered. I just dropped off my 63 coupe de ville at my local body shop and they asked me to start sourcing parts since some might be hard to find (and to keep cost down). We are going for a full restoration and will be taking the body off the frame (frame will be powder coated). Does anyone know what size and how many bushings i will need. I was hoping to buy a kit if anyone can point me in the right direction I’ll greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Jose, tghere is no body mount kit that I am aware of. A competent body shop who does frame offs should be able to identify and order their own body mounts for your car.
A vendor source would be OPGI or Caddy Daddy.
Steele Rubber (www.steelerubber.com) sells the body mounts ... at least 3 sizes I see on their website and in my personalized catalog. If you go to the website, plug in your year, make, body style and scroll down and search for body mount you will see them. Click Here for a direct link for the 64 hard top coupes. As you remove the rubber body bushings just match up the sizes to what they offer. From memory what they carry should cover most of those body bushings if not all of them. If you absolutely cannot find one in particular I do sometimes pull them in used condition that would be OK to use on a pinch.
Another recommendation while on their site: Click Catalogs up top, and order a customer catalog. They will send you a paper catalog listing all the rubber products they carry for your car and it is free!

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
