The Fan Clutch on my 64 Fleetwood is getting very noisy and I suspect a bearing or whatever inside of there has died.

I found a replacement on Caddy Daddy that appears to be the correct fit as others on the forum have struggles to find the right one over the counter.

It looks simple enough to replace this part, wondering if anyone has any insight/pointers about how big of a job this actually is or if its a piece of cake!

Any special tool requirements? I just want to make sure I have everything I need to be successful the FIRST time. I do have a garage, but its one stall so most repairs happen in the driveway. When I start a project, I want to make sure at the end of the day, the car is 100% back together so it doesn't have to sit out.

As always, thanks for the help!

As always, I appreciate your input!

I have the manual and a good shop light. I have examined the area, albeit probably not as thoroughly as I need to.

Alas, I’m am seeking advice from those that have performed the work before. I find the shop manual to be…. Lacking in some aspects. Perhaps it’s my inexperience with using them or interpreting the directions.

As I mentioned, I want to make sure I am as prepared for the job as I can be. Don’t want a mess of parts layin around for a day or two while I wait on the mailman.

I have a good new fan clutch for 70.00 and it is guaranteed to fit.   Please send me an email to get yours.  russ@thecadishack.com

The job is a piece of cake as you describe it. Just have a 1/2 wrench on hand.  Remove the 4 bolts to the water pump pulley and remove the fan assembly.  Swap out the fan and reinstall.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
