Thanks to Jason's expert advice, I was able to remove the fender trim on my 63 de Ville without removing the fender. Pics contain the locations of the 3/8 in nuts and how to access them. My clips were trashed so I ordered 10 from Jason. He has the new once with nylon nuts.

Wow! Those are great Visuals.  We might use this for a future Tech Tip Series on removing trim.

If you don't mind I am going to insert here in the reply to see all at once:

Forgot to mention removing the front wheel to easily access the wheel well bolts. I put the wheel back on to lower the lift and roll it backwards to get the door fully open to access the hinge panel.

And to do a little self-promotion, here is a picture of the medium sized trim fasteners with bonded washer and nylon lock washer, used on front fender, rear qtr, and inner door section (of you want to replaced that snap on inserts). I sell these for $3 each ($2.25 after Chapter Discount).

Jason,

Keep me in mind for that passenger side trim for my 64 Series 62.  I had it off in the winter and want to replace it if you come across one.  Pretty sure you have me on the wait list.  I have all the access points ready; just need the trim.

Thanks,

Dennis DiBari

are these clips used for the center three holes of the door molding/

They can be, but is not factory and is one of 3 attachment methods I recommend. I could go on but will repeat myself. See my detailed reply on your Body side molding install help needed thread.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
