Are the rear doors on other 6 window sedans the same as the Fleetwood 60 special? Obviously the door cards are different, but is that it? Steele has weatherstripping available for the rear door 6 window sedans but it doesn’t explicitly say it’s compatible with fleetwood. Any reason why it would not work?

The series 6- Fleetwood has its own door style, different from the 4 and 6 window sedans. What weatherstripping are you looking for/ I like Rubbertherightway.com Same stuff, just a little bit cheaper in price.

Rear doors; No results for the search. Only the 4 and 6 windows show up.
Rear doors are quite different on the 4 window vs 6 window vs Fleetwood 60 special. While the standard 6 window body styles (6229, 6329) have a rear qtr window, it is incorporated into the rear upper body of the car, whereas for the Fleetwood the rear qtr window is a power vent window that is an integral part of the door. It looks like that seal would be the same until you approach the rear upper part of the door where the shape changes.
Here is a Right Rear 4W, 6W and Fleetwood door for comparison:

Thanks Jason.
I may have to make due with the 6 window version unless anyone else out there has a better solution for Fleetwood. Certainly someone must have run into this before?
Looks like Steele sells the rubber seal by the foot with push in clips and without:
With clips: https://www.steelerubber.com/door-weatherstrip-70-1245-73
Without clips: https://www.steelerubber.com/door-weatherstrip-70-1111-73
Thanks for the idea!
All rear doors are different from 1963 to 1964, even across similar body styles (eg. 1963 4W to 1964 4W; 1963 6W to 1964 6W, 1963 60S to 1964 60S) due to deeper valley at top rear of rear door for the taller tail fin line down the car.

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
