Im about to pull engine from car. I have removed valley pan, IM, undone exhaust from EM. Heads still on. Will b using a standard type lift. Hood off. Where is best place to hook up. Do i need one of those brackets. Looking for safest, easiest to manage method
Are you pulling the transmission with it? If so, I recommend one of these --> https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g1021
It will help balance the load. I will be reinstalling the engine and trans back in my 64 as a unit, and this is the item I got.
When I pulled the engine out by itself, had the intake off of it, and I bolted my chain to two opposing ends at the manifold mounting location. It worked out fine.
Thanks, no. Jiat engine. ..so just pust two bolts in were intake attaches on each side and run chain across and up to lift mechanism?
I used a single chain, and attached it at pass side rear most intake man bolt hole, and driver side front most bolt hole. Hook the hoist at about center of chain and away you go!
