Don't know. Perhaps David will see this and chime in.
Yes Jason- My Youtube channel will show just how far my Cadillac addiction has grown!! 64 is still my favorite! Noticed comments on the story that others would not have attempted to save her- to look for another. If she had all those issues AND was rusted out- I would have kept looking for sure-but she was solid. I was told she sat in that field for 7 years-it is amazing she survived at all in those conditions. All the stars aligned for me in this case. As soon as found the Green 64- I found the T-Boned parts car only two hours away. I actually did a full mechanical service on the parts car first to ensure it was a good donor. Made sure nothing was stuck, valves etc Checked the block for cracks, changed all the fluids, checked and cleaned carb -ran off a gas can and actually drove the t-boned car around the barn yard. The entire drive-line and electrical system was put into the Green 64- plus numerous other parts. A true testament to the value of Parts cars- as we all know. With only 44000 miles- now 46000 she is still only a Baby! Thanks again for telling Our Story!
Thanks for the additional info! A great story, indeed!!!
I watched a couple of the YouTube videos. That must be him.
Just unbelievable to me that anybody would use a torch to remove an engine and transmission; unless the rest of the car was headed to the scrap yard. If I'd already paid for the rolling chassis, I'd be looking for some recourse; money back or whoop-ass time! Maybe would have been money/time ahead to buy the whole thing. That guy gives salvage yards a bad name; complete jerkwad.
Old time wrecking yards here would do that too.....maybe not to that extent, but diff housings, just cut the springs and hand brake cable and fluid lines and bingo, there's your diff assembly.
Much more professional these days though.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
