Hey Jason,
Somewhere, packed away in my car files I have an original 8x10 color transparency of that same photo.
It was part of the 1964 Press Kit that went to magazine journalists (not a lot of those, back in '64) for publication. Judging by the size and quality of the film, it looks like an original, taken by a large-format view camera.
Back in the '90s, I had an enlargement made and hung it on my Motor Trend office wall.
If I run across it, I'll definitely post it. Yes, the car is Firemist Saddle.
This picture is 12" x 18' on an odd all black paper. There was no writing on it and not sure how it was taken or printed but definitely not your stock photo paper, more like a film paper ... but not a transparency of course. It is now in a frame.
I also have another promo picture that looks like the same car and taken at the same time but it is a smaller 4 1/2" x 9 1/2" size, and at more of an overhead angled shot. It is also has some "For Release" write-up below the picture and will scan it and the picture soon and share.
the 64 does not have rear fender skirts?
Pretty car and great pictures
Yep. I love the no-skirt look of the '64 Eldo. Really gives a sportier appearance to the car.
I always make the point to anyone who comments on my '64 Eldo that the no-skirt styling was Eldo-only, and 1964-only. I have not met a single person (even other "Cadillac guys") who knew that detail.
Of course, members of this site do, but it's fun trivia to tell to others.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
