OK. Here's a new trivia. There is at least one main standard (non-option) item that one could "delete" on a new 1963 or 1964 Cadillac for a reduced cost. What is it? For extra cigars, what is the stipulation regarding this special delete item?

Nope. AC was an extra cost option on all 1963 and 1964 Body Styles. Engine was standard, but could not order without! LOL
Auto trans or have I misunderstood the question?
Good guess.. but no cigar! Here's a hint. I read on another site that this item became standard equipment in 1962.
Now, would a radio fit the question.
Nope, radio was an extra cost option.
Manual windows?
Heater.
Chris, Have a Cigar! That is correct. The only stipulation, which was obvious since they were an integrated system, was that you could not delete the heater when the Comfort Control Air Conditioning is ordered. Here is the full text in the Spec Manual:
"All Models may be ordered without heater/defroster as an option at reduced cost. However, when Comfort Control air conditioning is ordered, the heater cannot be deleted as it is an integral component."
No. Seat belts were optional in the rears of both 1963 and 1964, and fronts became standard in the middle of the 1964 production year, but there was no provision to put folding money in your pocket if you opted not have the standard front seat belts installed. The only perk was you got to fly thru the windshield and suck face with any Lincoln drivers you hit head on! Now.. that is funny!! :-)
as I was researching Chris beat me to it but my guess is heater also
Kurt, That was also a correct guess, but Chris beat you to the cigar. You will have to settle for one of those vapor smokes and having your fine Cadillac grace our newsletter cover this month!
Friggin HEATER......
My car came from California. No bastard in Southern California knows what a heater is.
Even here in Australia, i'm in the tropics. A FRIGGIN HEATER.
Not fair prickly pear, how about a GOOD TRIVIA question.
FRIGGIN HEATER..... Jason, are you on drugs?
Oh Father, the shame of it all.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
