I was watching hot rod garage today. They were working on a 71 sdv,  real beast.  Well, it had a ls 5.3 in it, then added airbags and nitrous.   Went cruisin around LA. Picked up a guy w a guiter, somevchick looked like a working girl, guy with a skateboard, and several others and headed to the beach.  Well, when they got there, 7 ti 8 adults piled out of that big sdv.  It was funny to see that many peoole in those big boys, and they looked almost comfortable piled in there.  Reminded me of when i was in high scholl in the 70s, going on triple dates in my friends daddys caddys and lincolns. I know its notva 6364 but it was still fun to watch.  On a couple of occasions, they hit that nitrous boost and it shot that big ass sedan off like a rocket!  It was really interesting to see how much thrust that nitous privided.  Anyway,  most of those shows stick to the muscle n hot rods but was interedting to see them work on monster sized caddy, i could see a 6364 being done same way

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
