Marty, Glad the measurements helped!
Jason, thanks for the pics of the measurements for the right mirror placement. I installed one on my 63 Friday night !
Kevin, Glad it arrived safely. Of the 16 I had preordered for customers on my Wait List, 15 have shipped out and one was installed on my 64 CDV!
Just like Bob, I ordered mine in late 2015. I pretty much gave up on it, but I got it this week! It's flawless, so I'm happy with the quality.
When I go to the OPGI site and go to the outside mirrors, with the left side mirror highlighted I see the mirror with the correct control rod. When I click on the RH mirror I then see a mirror without the control rod (see below)...again correct, so I am not sure what others are seeing. Their regular price on the RH mirror is $99.99. I don't do the 99 cent thing and will be selling mine for an even $90, a saving of 1 cent shy of $10. I do have a lot of people on my Wait List for these mirrors and will go down that list first. I expect a % will no longer have the car or no longer need/want a mirror so some will drop off the list. Kevin you are on my Wait List for a RH mirror, but also note you are in Australia. I will have to get a good weight and box size to determine shipping for everyone. For some in the USA the Regional A boxes will be the best, for others it will be by weight and box size, for international customers it will be weight. The one thing about a mirror is you want it packed well! My main thing was I wanted to make sure we had some on hand if & when they did actually produce some. I took it for granted 15 to 20 years ago when McVeys, USA Parts and others were selling them that they would be around. Hopefully they will continue to supply these mirrors, and maybe USA Parts and others will also get in the game. My 64 CDV came with a RH mirror, but the prior owners kid, had pulled on it and broke it off at the base... at least that was the story I was told, and had ordered my replacement through USA Parts Way Back! I will definitely keep an extra around for my 64 CDV!
Looks very nice from the pictures. I had 2 customers email me today and say they had received theirs and were VERY PLEASED! I was a bit nervous as I completed my order for 16 mirrors earlier in the week and should be receiving them soon. I should be able to knock off at least $10 from OPGI's regular price. Of course I will be going down my Wait List first.
ps... they completed my order for 16 RH mirrors yesterday and will go down my Wait List first then open up any left overs for sale, saving about $10 off their stated price.
No control rod or handle on optional RH mirrors.
Just as an fyi, You can remove the LH mirror and use it as your template. It will be the exact same distance from front and top edge of door, 3 top holes will be the same, as well as the front attaching hole where the large screws goes through. Of course with the RH mirror you do not have an adjustment rod and handle so no modifications needed there.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
