64 THM Electric Kickdown switch connections: only two at linkage, or more at Tranny?

Hello all.

As I reported in a prior post, I got my car back from the shop and now have a part throttle kickdown. Great! However, either by coincidence or by oversight I now no longer have a Full throttle kickdown (which I used to have after I replaced the switch on the linkage). So, I checked the connections on the linkage and they appear to be good. What I am wondering is whether there are other electrical connectors at the transmission, which may have been disconnected during the repair and not re-attached. I don't have a lift so I cannot check (other than doing it the "Brooklyn way" by driving the car half way in to the street in the driveway and crawling under -which I will do if I have to.

So, anybody know if there are other connections at the tranny? There does not appear to be a fuse on that line.

(Yes, I do plan to test the switch  with a test light but have not done that yet because it worked fine before I dropped the car off).

Thanks

Norm

The white wire from kick down switch goes to transmission connector. Trace it back to transmission connector and make sure it is attached and no breaks in wire.

Thanks. Approximately where on the tranny does it connect? Near the Modulator or somewhere else.

See arrow below:

Noted with appreciation.

Occam's Razor rules the day: It was a bad kick down switch on the linkage. Shoulda checked it first but it was working just a week ago.

Thanks for all responses, I learned something anyway.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
