Scanning thru the Feb issues of Hemmings I found a listing for Gary's Steering Wheels. I didn't think I had heard of them but looked on our Parts & Service page and there they are listed.  I had to have added the listing but forgot who recommended them.   Has anyone else heard of them or used them to restore their steering wheel. I am interest as mine steering wheel, which was done 20+ years ago by a placed in SC that is no longer, is starting to show hairline cracks. I know there is a place out west that does them for a cool $1500 to $2000 (or maybe more now!) but this outfit is not too, too far from me and maybe not as expensive... well, one can dream.

Anyone deal with them? Here is the listing in Feb 2025 Hemmings:

STEERING wheel restoration: all types of wheels, specializing in woodgrain wheels, Corvette, GTO, AMX, Road Runner, Challenger, Mustang and Cadillac, Thunderbird, Mopar inlay type wheels, Ford rim blow wheels, domestic or foreign, satisfaction guaranteed, since 1983. Eldorado George can be very expensive for certain items.

Can't say I've heard about Gary's Steering Wheels, but Steering Wheels by Kris has some absolutely stunning examples of his work on his website. Might be something worth adding to our Parts & Service link. Here's the web address https://steeringwheelkris.com/

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
