At the 2024 Grand National - Lois & Rob Harriman's 1963 Coupe de Ville "Doris"

Here is our 3rd look back at 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter member Cadillacs at the 2024 CLC Grand National in Gettysburg - LOIS & ROB HARRIMAN'S 1963 COUPE DE VILLE "DORIS".

I call this car black beauty but Lois & Rob call her Doris as noted from this excerpt from our May 2020 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter Newsletter which you can check out by Clicking Here.

"She was christened, “Doris”, in honor of both my maternal grandmother, Doris Ramsdell and my paternal grandmother, Doris Harriman, (as well as Lois’ favorite actress of the early 1960’s).  She has been an integral part of our family over the past twenty-three years, being shared with nieces and nephews in parades, shows, picnics and ice cream cruises.  One of our nieces even rode in Doris from her wedding!

She’s a moderately equipped example, with leather interior, power windows and six-way bench seat but no power locks, Guide Matic but no cruise control, AM only radio, and no air conditioning.  The lack of air conditioning makes things elegantly simple under the hood, but that gorgeous all-black leather interior can get very uncomfortable, sitting at a long red light in the August sun!"
