At the 2024 Grand National - Pat Westphal's 1964 de Ville Convertible

Here is our 5th look back at 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter member Cadillacs at the 2024 CLC Grand National in Gettysburg - PAT WESTPHAL'S 1964 de VILLE CONVERTIBLE.

Pat's convertible was featured in our March 2023 Newsletter which you can check out by Clicking Here.  Since purchasing the car in 2021 he has worked hard tackling several wiring and other issues to make the car road worthy.   Pat has driven the car on the Woodward Dream Cruise and last year's CLC National Driving tour, not to mention his appearance at this year's Grand National.   This is definitely a driver Cadillac that Pat is going to enjoy for years to come.  It should also be noted that Pat worked for GM in engineering at Clark Street in Detroit then at the Milford Proving Grounds after the Clark Street building was shut down in 1994.  Be sure to check out  more on his story and his convertible via the newsletter link.

Hi Pat,

I saw the pictures that Jason posted from the Grand National and I also had a chance to see your convertible at the hotel.  It looked sharp and never looked like you drove it all the way from Michigan.  It is a beauty!

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
