When I get a chance I like to go back and clean up, and scan the body plates from the parts cars I have brought in. For the last few years I generally do that as I dismantle each car but early on I was too busy and just dumped them in the folder I keep for each car. I run across this one the other day that reminded me that you would see both a B after the Trim Code for Bucket Seat and the T in the Accessories list for Power Bucket Seats (4 way driver & 2 way passenger).
Decoding the body plate:
10E --> Built 5th week October, 1963
63-6357 --> 1963 Coupe de Ville
BODYFW 3580 --> 3,580th Coupe de Ville built for the 1963 model year.
TRIM54B --> Sandalwood Leather Interior with Bucket Seats
ACCessories:
E - Softray Tinted Glass
N - Power Vent Windows
T - Power Bucket Seats (4 way driver, 2 way passenger)
K - Air Conditioner

I just picked up a 63 CDV with factory bucket seats with the T power seats. I am cleaning it up and the car will be for sale soon.
Get me the details of the sale and say 4 to 8 good picture within the next few days and we can run it in our next newsletter which should be out soon (by end of week). If not ready we could run in the next newsletter which I hope to turn around faster.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
