I'm pretty sure forum member Pat Wesphal has cruise on his 64 convertible. I'm going to email him to see if he can jump on here and share his experience.

I'd kind of like to install an original cruise control on my '64 Deville.  I love the dial-in speed on the dash pad.   I understand back in the day it could be installed at the dealership.

Chris,  Yes i installed an aftermarket cruise system on my 64 Deville.  I have been exceptionally pleased with it Send me a message at pat.westphal@gmail.com and we can discuss it for your vehicle.

Hi Paul, Can you post a picture of the dashboard switch too?

Here is what I did on my vehicle.  What I like about the Dakota Digital system is that you have some options for the Dashboard switch.  I mounted mine in that black box you can sde in the picture.  You can mount it directly to the dash if you want, or you can also order a turn stalk that has the switch incorporated into the stalk similar to a modern car.  This would replace the turn stalk in your car and as I didn't want to do that I opted for the dash mounted switch and the little black box.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
