While scooting around under my 64 CDV Dino I am seeing a lot of thinks to address, including swapping in a lot of my gold cadmium plated hardware. Since I am headed to the cad platers in Winston-Salem, NC on Monday, I wanted to get my transmission shift linkage and relay bracket removed and disassembled to included in the next drop-off batch and replace with one I had plated.

While under the car I noticed one of my bolts on the relay bracket was missing. Luckily it was just missing and not broken off. As I removed it I noticed the brake line above it and the 3 brake line clamps on that inside part  of the frame. I removed the trans relay and linkage rods, and those 3 clamps and will clean up and paint that part of the frame before I install the new hardware.

See pictures below:

ABOVE: Note missing bolt on trans relay bracket.
Also note that brake line bracket right above to the right.
Relay,
and 3 brake line brackets have been removed.

ABOVE: At top is the transmission relay bracket and shift linkage removed and the one at bottom is the one going in.  Before disassembling the one I removed, I used it as a guide to adjust the length of the short and long linkage rods. I used a caliper to hopefully get it adjusted to the same length so hopefully it will be a matter of just bolting it in.  The removed relay and rods was completely disassembled so everything gets evenly plated.

The more items you add that are CAD plated, the more I want to see a WHOLE 64 Cadillac that is CAD plated! Wouldnt that be cool!

Yep, with it up on the 12" wheel cribs I will be scooting around for a few weeks adding some cad stuff I have been throwing in the trunk.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
