Well, with the last parts car out of the way (and no longer blocking my driveway), I pulled my 64 CDV out a couple days ago and gave it a good washing and did some local cruising.  Not to brag, but as soon as the water hit 'Dino' I thought, damn, that is a good looking car!

Dino Gets a Good Washing after several months dormant in the Garage

After the clean-up, did some cruising on my own to make sure it was running nice, and it was, then I headed back toward the house and thought to myself "I have never gotten a picture of Dino from across the street from the Ice Skating Rink parking lot", so I turned in and snapped the picture below. You will note my new addition construction on the left. That has been a big time consumer, but a very rewarding project.

Dino posing in front of they old homestead I call 'Edge Manor' with new addition on the left.

Finally, it was back over to the house for some formal cruising with wife Cheryl and the Yorkies Priscilla & Presley.   It sure feels good to have Dino Back on the road.   While it was kind of neat having the 2 parts cars on hand at once, especially given the fact they were the exact same body styles (1963 Park Avenues), my driveway is not set up for it. I have been trying to buy the lot behind me for 25 years now.. guess I need to press the issue some more with owner!  Until the next Ramble ... Happy Cruising!

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
