Looks like my car just a little rougher around the edges. That looks like a Canadian car from the Ottawa area that I've read about before.

Very nice looking great potential!

This car has no business sitting in a salvage yard; looks straight and  mostly complete. What the heck are some people thinking?  Just unreal.

Sweet!

Here's an excerpt of this car's story, which will be published in a few days in our January Newsletter:
"When I raised the hood what I saw was bad enough to bring tears to your eyes. He had used a cutting torch to remove the engine and transmission. In the process he had cut EVERYTHING. All the brackets for the alternator and power steering pump were cut, all the supports for the transmission were cut, all the power steering hoses, rad hoses and transmission cooler lines were cut along with most of the wiring harness. He had also cut the engine mounts- all with a torch. I knew this was going to make this restoration that much harder. Looking at this massacre, I became even more determined to bring her back. "
Stay tuned for more...

Could this be my long lost 63?

No this is a 1964 4 Window Sedan de Ville. Scroll up to the top and you will see a picture.

Jason, That sounds interesting and I'm looking forward to reading the full story. From what I have read here, the car sounds like a lost cause and if it was me doing the restoration, I'm thinking I would have kept looking for another car to start with even though the exterior looks solid and straight.

Full story just posted  - www.newsletters.6364cadillac.com

You'd wanna kill the old guy for what he did to remove the olds engine.

Good save of a 64 though and a nice feel good story.

Interesting read and a good story. That would be a real bummer to buy the car only to have it butchered by the seller before receiving it. The buyer did mention he had heard that the junkyard owner was a crusty old guy but that's still seriously uncool.

Is this the guy from YouTube that goes by Cadillacguy100 because this car looks exactly the same as his?

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 13 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
