I had sent Tri-City Plating a 64 rear center to see if it could be rechromed, and it was too far gone, but got into a conversation with Chip, and he said he has 4 good 1964 rear center cores. The rechrome price is $585 and claimed one for myself for my personal 64 CDV. That leaves 3 available, and I sent an email to the 3 contacts I had on my wait list looking for one.  One has already indicated they found one, so that leaves at least 1 extra available... maybe 3 if the other 2 contacts do not want need or want one. I did ask about 63 rear centers, and Chip said they didn't have that one. I also told him to be on the look out for front lower end (buckets).

I have had other chrome work done by Tri-City and have been extremely pleased.  If interested contact Tri-City at 1800-251-7536 and ask for Chip. Their website is at http://www.tricityplating.com/.  Tell them Jason at Classic Cadillac Parts sent ya!

I went ahead and made the call to order one. I had purchased a bumper recently that looked way better in the pictures. Thanks for the tip! Looking forward to getting the dented up bumper on my car replaced.

That's at least 2 of the 4 they have on hand spoken for.

Just spoke with Chip again today and apparently the rest of the bumpers were too rotted to be repaired, so I will be sending mine and hoping it is in good enough shape to restore.

Sounds good. Fingers crossed.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
