Searching Content is Much More Natural and Easier here on the New Site!

Charles just asked an excellent question on tags..since we had to actively search them out on the old site and thought I would share my reply in a separate blog:

Tags and searching are much more natural here on the Ning hosted site.

Instead of having to go through multi steps to "show all tags" and squint thru hundreds of tags and hope you get the right one as we did on the Multiply site,  you just put the term you want to search for up in the 'Search" bar in upper right hand  of screen. It will pull up all content posted either with the word in the Title or with a word it was "tagged" with.

For example if I search for "Tire" I will find the "Original Tires Used on 1963 & 1964 Cadillacs" post which was tagged with the word Tire (and had Tire in the title)

...but it will also find the blog titled "Tires and rear windows" which did not have a "tag" but it found it from the word in the title of the post.

Just to add, when you all post new content whether it be message blogs, pictures, videos,  photos, etc, note the it is encouraged to put key words you want people to be able to use to find your post down in the 'Tags' field at bottom.

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
