Years before there was an Eastern NC CLC Region I had joined the Carolina CLC Region which is based in Charlotte and the western part of North Carolina. Well, I was a member on paper only as I never made it out to any meet-ups. In 2006 the Eastern NC CLC Region was formed and I was at the very first meet-up at McCalls Restaurant in Clayton, NC on Feb 25, 2006 and have been active off and on in our own Raleigh and Eastern NC based region.
With an increased desire to participate in more "in state" car shows and be more active with other CLC regions I've recently rejoined the Carolina region and have to say President Greg Power and Newsletter Editor Travis Dowell have been very welcoming. I sent them some pictures of my car in the recent Classics At The Captial car show in Raleigh, NC which they featured in their latest newsletter which you can see by clicking on Carolina Chronicles - October, 2012.
I have to save I'm really excited to be attending my first meet-up with the Carolina Region on Oct 20 in Lenoir, NC and know it will be a great time. For any of you that have not joined the Cadillac LaSalle Club or a CLC region I encourage you to check out their informative and fun newsletter and see what you might be missing. Being part of the 63/64 Website and/or Chapter gives us immediate online connectivity with each other, but there is nothing like actually meeting up with your local region members and showing off those Cadillacs.
I'll also say that I'm also always looking for ideas for our newsletters and love the many pictures and stories in the Carolina Region and other newsletters. My wife was impressed that they have a recipe section in their newsletter which, along with the members stories, and many pictures really makes it an inclusive club type club. I could go on and on but do encourage you all to join the CLC, join a region, and join our chapter and become a more active member!

That Carolina newsletter was pretty great. I LOVED the photos of the 1960 Cadillacs there. I really like that model a lot. Regarding ideas and contributions to the newsletter, I have had my Cadillac in 2 shows so far this season and will be in a third on Sat., October 6th in Chevy Chase, MD. I will be writing about my show experiences and prepping for shows as I want to get ideas on how to best prepare for a car show (whether you are judged or not). Who knows. This may be good enough for a newsletter article. It will not be technical but it may incite conversation. Thanks, Sam Jackson

Hey! I’ve seen the 63/64 power booster and master cylinder combination has been covered very clearly. I’m in the process of replacing mine. I was hoping someone could give me insight on a specific…Continue

I meant to make this a priority over the winter and didn't get that far. I've tried to source all the parts individually, but that is a daunting task. Partly because I don't want to miss any…Continue

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
