All,
My 1963 Series 62 convertible's wipers sometimes stay on after I turn them off. This is annoying as I usually have to find a speedbump or pothole to hit to turn them off!
The issue is that the relay coil (marked in image below) is sticking. Is there any recommended lubricant or other fix to prevent this coil from sticking? It looks like it would be a hard and tedious job to replace it, if I could even find the right coil.
Any and all thoughts appreciated!

I had that problem. My wipers would also take several seconds to start after after the switch was turned on. In my case it was a very easy fix. I just removed the wiper motor front cover, cleaned up all the old hardened, sticky grease with solvent and re-greased the mechanism. It has worked perfectly since then (10 years). I just used regular bearing grease.
Kurt, Thanks. I actually did what you described, and it improved things quite a bit, but the sticking relay coil still sometimes causes the problem. What kind of grease did you use to re-grease?

Hello, possibly looking a neutral safety switch for a 1964 Deville with the TH-400 and tilt steering. Also, possibly looking for an oil filter housing assembly for a 1964 429 motor. Starting to get…Continue

I meant to make this a priority over the winter and didn't get that far. I've tried to source all the parts individually, but that is a daunting task. Partly because I don't want to miss any…Continue

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
