Gentlemen,

Friday morning began with the dash painting complete. I spent the next day and a half putting the dash and instrument panel back together along with an upgraded radio and speakers. The rebuilt radio works and sounds great! It works like the original, with a new amp and bluetooth.  It’s fantastic!
I changed the panel bulbs to high intensity halogen ones. At night, the instruments appear clear and bright.
It was a slow process that tested my patience, but I stayed calm and focused and got it done by Saturday mid day.  It looks great and was so worth it!  I also rechromed the arm rests control bezels.

Hi Mike,

You did a fantastic job on your dashboard and radio renewal.  The pictures you posted look great.  Quite a bit of work that deserves a lot of credit!

Thank you,Dennis.

This was my first dash rebuild and I was a little anxious. But, I figured, “How do you eat an elephant? One spoon at a time.”  I took my time, and stopped when I began to feel frustrated and tired. The dash came together as it should have with just one little squawk: the top switch failed.  Otherwise, I’m very pleased with the outcome.

Mike

Mike,

Encomium to you!  I never tackled an entire dashboard, and you deserve so much credit.  It turned out great.

Nice! Do you have any video of how to remove the dash top?

Thanks

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
