Hi All,
I've looked thru the diagrams in the help page and dont see any non ac vacuum hose diagrams. im looking for both under the dash and engine bay diagrams. By the way, there also is no vacuum canister in the engine bay. i dont think it came with one since it was non ac. Am i missing something or do they not exist? my cars vacuum line are horrible, cracked and missing t's and fittings so any help would be appreciated.
Thx

What year are you looking for? 1963 or 64?
There is no general overall vacuum diagram in the 1964 Cadillac Shop Manual for these cars and the ones that are there are mainly stemming from the AC/Heat or Heat System. The Heat system vacuum is on page 13-2, Fig 13-3. I have also inserted below.
If you compare tot he AC/Heat diagram on Page 13-21, Fig 13-17 it leaves off the line over to the vacuum fitting on engine from check valve but that part would be the same.
There is not smaller vacuum storage tank you your firewall if you do not have AC. If you have power vacuum door locks and/or power vacuum trunk you would have a very large vacuum storage container tucked under the left fender at firewall for these options.
You will find vacuum illustrations for vacuum door locks starting on Pag16-23, Fig 16-27 on and continued onto next page, and a large master vacuum diagram on page 16-28.
The vacuum power trunk lid section starting on page 16-77 Section 84 Vacuum Lock System has some pictures of vacuum components (release actuator and hose) but there is no illustration showing how it T's into the vacuum under dash, runs down right side of car and up and into the trunk lid. So very vague.
So, the Shop Manual is a bit vague on the vacuum circuits but does have some illustrations and a lot of written text. If you don't have a shop manual you will of course want to pick up a copy. I did go back and add the heat only vacuum schematics to both the AC/Heat and Vacuum Illustrations help pages, including the one below.

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
