I have generally been installing the cadmium hardware as I go on my 64 Coupe de Ville "Dino" and using it for posting pictures but have a few items I never got around to. I installed the cad plated fender skirt brackets on one side as it rained outside.   Here's a quick view of the one side I did:

Mine are covered in undercoat and road grime.  Who knew they could look so good?! Nice detail!

Yep, mine had the road grime and undercoating also. What I noticed and guess I knew since I have parted so many out there is quite a bit of in and out and up and down adjustment for the skirt with these brackets. I was able to pull mine out a bit and line up the skirt to body line a bit better as I installed the bracket. I assumed this would be the case and one reason I wasn't in a big hurry to just throw the brackets on there. You have to savor and take advantage of these slight upgrades! LOL

Just to add... many understandably feel compelled to go replaced their tired, dulled stock hubcaps (wheel covers) with spoke wheels, etc.; however, with nice original covers and center caps, I have always thought these were gorgeous wheel covers.  Yes, I am a bit biased.

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 13 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
