I have been heads down on my house addition project in the last few weeks with the weather improving and have basically ignored my 64 Caddy 'Dino' except for replacing the battery a few weeks ago, but yesterday the great weather got the best of me and stopped work on the house (literally dead in my tracks), pulled Dino out, washed it off, put the Yorkies Priscilla & Presley in the back seat and did some local cruising. My town Garner NC just opened up a small train depot museum and has a caboose outside and I pulled next to it and got a few pictures.   The pooches have their on pooch seats (and 2 in each Escalade) and love to go "ridies!". All I have to say is Ridie's and they are ready to roll.

I shared about 14 pics on Facebook but thought I would share a few her.  Oh, and last night I headed back out for some night cruising. It is a real rush to drive these cars in spring time weather in North Carolina!

Dino gets a bath!

The Caboose's Caboose and Dino's Caboose ---> That's a lot of Caboose!

Your Cadillac is just outstanding

Glad you took the time to go for a spin ——especially ——with the dogs

An enjoyable drive in these cars resets your soul so you can get back to doing what you do in a better state of mind

The drive clears out the mental cobwebs and is rejuvenating to the spirit

Better than a physiatrist—- but might cost the same ——-HA !

Good to see Dino ( Martin ) out and about always

Enjoy

1964 power steering sector rebuild

Posted by CHRIS CARLSON on March 20, 2023 at 11:32pm 3 Comments

 I'm having my steering sector rebuilt, and considering changing it from 20-1 ratio 4.2 turns lock to lock to 3.5 turns lock to lock @ 16-1 ratio, If i change from a 3 1/4" box to a 3" box i could have a 14-1 Ratio steering response would be faster, shorter distance to turn the wheel to get a response,   has anyone done this? and how do you like it? thank you

Need help with a hood latch

Posted by Curtis Dover on January 2, 2023 at 5:23pm 0 Comments

Hey guys, I need some help.  Could someone send me some pictures on how the first hood release lever on a factory 1964 Cadillac is set up, where it comes though the grille. Not the secondary one. I need to know where the thumb or finger position is located through the grille. Is it above or below the center grille molding piece? Mine seems to be positioned behind the center molding piece and will not adjust above or below the molding. I have a wire tied to it to release it…
