Fellow Members,

The self starter has an advertiser that has direct fit exact reproduction radiators.  They come with a larger 2.5" core and state they will cool better than the original.  My current original radiator is leaking around the top seam and seems to be spreading the length of the radiator...while not bad at the moment I can only assume I'm riding on borrowed time!  Initially they come unpainted but will do that for an upcharge.

Here are the details....  They gave me a delivered price of $290.00  I know I could send out the original but I'm likely going to spend more to do that.  I'm intrigued by the additional cooling capability as I live in the Midwest and the summers can be brutal.  In the end I want to do whatever is best for my grand ole lady!!

  • Double the capacity of stock 2-row
  • 33% more capacity than 3-row 1/2"
  • 12% more capacity than 4-row 1/2"

Core size: 25" wide, 17" tall, 2 1/2" thick
Overall size (widest points): 25 1/4" wide, 23 1/4" tall, 3" thick

Has anyone had any dealings with these folks good or bad?

Thank you in advance....

Kevin

Tony, Kevin is asking if anyone has had experience with Auto City Classic and their radiators, and if if so, good or bad? He is asking for feedback.  He asked me about the company and their radiators & I indicated I have zero experience with the company or aftermarket radiators and suggested he post his question here.  If someone has had experience with this company or perhaps other brand aftermarket radiators, specs, etc. please provide feedback.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

accumulator dryer

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
