Is there anything special about the wiper blades I should use on my '63 Series 62 convertible? I have the original arms with the original blade brackets. I got Anco N-18R blades that should fit. I installed them on the arms. but they seemed loose, so I took apart the old blades and moved the rubber from the Anco blade to the metal spine in the prior blade. It's still not great. Given there don't seem to be any prior threads on this topic I suspect I am making tis wiper blade replacement harder than it should be.

Any suggestions for the replacement wiper blades that people use and that fit well?

Thanks,

Russ here on the forums has a stash of them. He should be able to help you out.

I have new wiper blade refills for 20.00 a set plus shipping.

email me at  russ@thecadishack.com    I will need your zip code for a shipping quote.

I have been using and selling Anco U-18R refills for about 15 years and sell for $10 a set.  I have never used or sold the N-18R blades but the U-18R is s tight fit in the original blade holder.  I currently have about 8 sets. You may be able to find them for less but feel that is a fair price. If interested email me at jasonedge@nc.rr.com

I believe the “N” refills were the narrow width refills, mainly for import cars in the 80’s back then.  The “U” refills were the standard American width at that time.

Karl, I have replied to your emails with no return reply. You asked for 2 sets of these in one email and I indicated 2 sets (4 blades) with shipping to US destinations would be $30. If not getting my emails check your spam folder. You can also message me here on the 63/64 site. I will assume you have what you need if no response. Jason.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
