Today, I installed a power steering pump cap and dipstick I had cad plated. Since this gets handled and apt to get banged around a little from use I actually clear coated the cap with Rustoleum Clear Engine Enamel. Gives it more sheen but tends to take away a bit of the "rainbow" coloring but I am still very pleased.

I have replaced most of it, and most of it I haven't replaced I have had plated and sitting in my trunk. These include some of the upper and lower control bolts, nuts, washers, shock bolts, washers & nuts, suspension bolts such as idler arm steering gear tie strut. There is still some new stuff to plate. For example tie rod adjustment sleeves and bolts went in with this last 8th batch I just dropped off. So back to Dino, some of the non-engine compartment items I need to install are items like fender bracket fasteners, fender skirt brackets, brake and gas and vacuum line clamps, etc.. There are also some of those smaller grill parts and fasteners to install and post for sale. To completely go through the grills and extensions will take some time... for both 63 & 64. Hope to get everything ready to install on Dino, in stalled by spring!

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
