The mast on my power antenna is stuck up.  I can hear the motor engage when I pull/push the knob, but no movement.  The mast seems be rigid on the push wire or rod which wont move.  Any thoughts about getting it unstuck?

I can't stand a conceited (stuck up) antenna. Sorry, couldn't resist : ). Anyway, do you hear a clicking sound when the antenna motor is running? There is a nylon cord that pushes/pulls the mast up & down. If the mast is simply stuck you will hear a clicking sound as the nylon cord grips and breaks loose trying the move the mast. In this case check the mast for any dents or bends that could be binding it. Also oil the mast with WD40 on steel wool. Try pushing the mast down manually while someone else pulls the knob. It can't be lowered unless the motor is winding up the nylon cord, If you don't hear a clicking the nylon cord or something else may be broken. In that case, you would need to remove the antenna and open it up to investigate. Do you have a shop manual? Instructions for removing the antenna are there.

Thanks, Kurt. I have a shop manual and will get to reading!

You can get a new antenna mast from CaddyDaddy.com    I use them all the time.

My reservoir is a little low. Any recommendations on my purchase of refill fluid? There are likely new fluids and I’d like to buy the right product. Thanks. Continue

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
