I believe the clips in photo #3 hold the transmission fluid cooler lines that go to the bottom of the radiator.

Part 1 is a bracket for one of the cooler line clips in photo 3, the bracket is attached to one of the front oil pan studs. The right bracket in photo 2 could be the washer fitted between the starter bracket and the oil pan. I dont think the left bracket in photo 2 is a oem part.

Pics have been mostly answered but I will chime in with more detail.
Picture 1: is the bracket mounted to stud at right front corner of oil pan for Trans Cooler lines as seen in Pic 3.

Picture 2 on left: is the strap that attached to RH trunk cardboard wall to hold the jack base in place (see pic below).

Picture 2 on right: is the 1964 Turbo Hydramatic Starter spacer that goes between the starter support bracket and the oil pan.

Picture 3 are the trans color line clamps... one mounts to that bracket in picture 1 on the U nut clip end and the other mounts to a U nut clip attached to the front trans inspection pan that goes in front of the adaptor ring.

Just to add, there is another similar looking clamp use on the rear facing front frame section for the gas line and the brake line but you can always tell it from the trans line clamps since it has a large back section for gas line and smaller front section for the brake line.  The trans lines have the same size "humps" since the trans lines are the same diameter.

Thanks Jason! Excellent info and photos!

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
