did you find a rear deck lid? I have one from a 64' SDV if you're still lookiing
Hey William - I am still looking. Tell me more about the condition. We are going to get our car painted some time later this year If possible, and our current lid is badly rusted in a couple places. The paint guy recommended another lid as the damage was too deep. What do you want for it and can you prepare it for shipment, which you can add to the total cost. I’ll arrange the shipping if we can come to terms.
Thanks,

Hi Jim, I have two lids, both from solid southwestern cars, surface rust on exterior, interiors almost pristine condition, $200 for the gold one (more surface rust) $250 for the green one, I sold another lid a couple of weeks ago, the buyer arranged a pick up from my shop, they wrapped it in moving blankets secured with packing tape and it was on its way.
Hey Bill - I’d be interested in whichever has the least amount of rust, sounds like the green one. Tell me, the last one you sold did the buyer use a moving company? I tried this once before but the freight line expected the lid to be practically crated. Seller wasn’t interested in getting that involved. The deal fell through but if there is an easier way to get this done, point me in the right direction. Happy to pay for the green lid while I figure this out if you don’t mind keeping the lid hanging around the shop for a little while.

Hi Jim, the guy that just bought a deck lid used "uship" it did happen to be a moving company they had no problem using moving blankets & tape in fact they expected to do that, other trucking companies have picked up fenders etc. with no protective packing, just secured it to the 18 wheeler flatbed, I suppose it's up to the company on how they will deal with it, I could do the blanket & taping up part if it came to that, if you want the lid I have no problem hanging on to it for you.

Hey Bill - sounds good. That is who I used on the other deal that fell through. I will look for a moving company this time. Tell me how you want to be paid. I will work the shipping piece today. Need your shop address for that. I will call you later today.
BTW, your Eldorado convertible is gorgeous. Envious of your convertible boot. I have tried twice to get one that can fit and was unsuccessful. One made and the other bought off the shelf. Who made yours? We put new vinyl over the existing frame and new hydraulics. Sometimes I think the top just doesn’t go down far enough. Frustrating.
Look forward to getting this done with you.
Many thanks,
Jim
Hi Jim, thx for the compliment! I have the same issues with the boot or the top not going down enough and I have to stretch the vinyl boot and it has in fact torn in a couple of places, so looking for a replacement too. As for the deck lid pick up my shop is located at Animas Air Park in Durango Colorado, I don't have an exact address for my hangar but they can call me for pick up. If you get me your email address I'll send an invoice via PayPal, also I could possibly get a couple of moving pads and tape if necessary & make an adjustment for the material costs, let me know on that.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
