Well we (my son and I) have finally made it to the interior of our '63 Eldorado and thought we would find the original interior underneath the seat covers that had been installed, but instead we find an earlier reupholster job that is not done in the original design. So now we are seeking any advice, photos, etc. or information of any kind on the interior seats of a '63 Eldorado. Leads on interior shops that may be able to reupholster the seats would be great also!
Thanks for any help…

OK so my Rochester is on the 57 Fleetwood not the 64 but I know I can get some feedback here on the problem... Carby went off the car and went for a refurb. Engine would not idle and the idle screw would do nothing. There was no bakelite spacer which I believe feeds the air to the mixture screw but now have installed that. Carby back from refurb on it goes and same deal.. The idle screw does nothing and the engine blows lots of black smoke at idle (too rich I assume).. Any ideas what is…

I was rolling around town today saw an upholstery shop so thought I'd stop and talk about my 63 sdv front seat.
He said about $100/yd. @3 yards + $250 labor.
Sound about right using the old leather?
This is a ways down the road, but just getting ideas on cost. Also, anyone ever put cruise on one of these things(aftermarket)?
Thanks for any insight

A friend is looking for a new dash in good condition for his 1964 Series 62. His has several cracks and tears. It should be in the light blue color (code 33) if possible.

I have a question. My 64 CDV is down for a complete paint and interior redo. When I disassembled the interior I found 4 hard rubber blocks under the front seat attachment bolts. Has anyone seen this before or did someone before me put these in to raise the height of the seat. Secondly, I was wanting to install new headlamps that would give better lighting for nighttime driving. Has anyone had experience installing the HID lighting in lieu of the standard sealbeams? Any advice would be…

Well, it looks like my seat motor decided to give up. Armature turns free, brushes are fine but no go.
Anyone out there have one. Thanks tbbahner@embarqmail.com

Hey guys,
hope you can help me one more.
I'm wondering how the correct wiring of the AC-compressor ground should be. If you do it like in the original shop manual on page 13-45 (Fig. 13-32, marked red), the compressor does not have any contact to…

I was thinking or rotating member 63's and 64's up in the header and used Mark Geertsma's 1963 Sedan de Ville as a test car. It gets a little grainy making the picture that small, but not too bad.…Continue

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
