I have tried to keep at least 2 bays in my 3 bay garage open and still get to all of my tools, packing materials and parts I keep in the main downstairs garage area. I have given up on parking a 3rd car in there, and instead of just keeping things stacked in the 3rd bay, decided it was time to get some decent shelving. I had built a 4' x 6' work table some time and also store items under it, but it was not doing the job alone!
I looked around and found a commercial grade 2' x 6.5' x…

I have a large 26" wide Kettle that my grandma use to make her lye soap in (only during a full moon by the way), and have held on to it as I have most of the other family stuff passed on to me, and put this mammoth kettle to use as my Shred Kettle! For flat rate boxes I like to use shredded paper and the kettle works out great for keeping shred and wide enough for most flat rate boxes I can pack right from the top and not worry about making a mess. I am off this week and was up early…

Remind me not to get behind any tall trucks going under this bridge in Durham, NC with my 64 Caddy. This was sent to me by a email via a Caddy contact and seems there is a lot of video out there on this often hit bridge just down the road from me:

Thinking of doing the timing chain on a 64 and I did a search on the message board without to much success as to previous posts. I would assume that there are many words of wisdom that should be followed by the many individuals (smarter and more experienced than I) that have done this before. Questions such as: Should I, as a matter of course, just replace the gears (timing chain set) since they are nylon teeth.... All info is greatly appreciated and Thank you in advance.

Hello Everyone, My 64 Convertible has the am/fm radio with a speaker in the front dash pad and in the rear seat. I would like to add the GM style reverb kit. I found a switch with attached wires at a garage sale in a coffee can of parts from a 64 Buick for $2.00 I see how it could attach to the speakers but I don't know if it then attaches to the radio or there is a special box I don't know about that the whole then goes to then to the radio. Anyone have any info about…

Over the many weeks we have had the Sunday chat at 6pm Eastern / 3 pm Pacific it has been rare that we have had more than 3 or 4 members online and in recent weeks we have been lucky to have 2 or 3 or any at all.
I think the low participation is due in large part because it is still early in the day Sunday and many of us are still out doing what we do on weekends.…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
