Needing some electrical help. My old '63 Sedan DV electrical system is not in the greatest shape.
A current MUST is wipers, as they don't work at all.. I'm waiting on a shop manual but it will be a week or so before it arrives. I't appears the washer and wiper motors are one unit, I'm guessing at all this stuff. With the key on and the switch on, ,I'm getting 12v to one side of the 2 wire plug, which I assume is the washer and to the middle contact on the 3wire connector, which I…

Hello all, thought I would introduce myself. Tom Bahner here in Rossville Ks. Hope I'm posting this in the correct place, if not let me know. Absolutely love the looks of these old ledsleds.
Was happy to find this chapter as I have just become the owner of a 63 Sedan DeVille. She's pretty rough but being on a retired budget, was one I could afford that actually ran and drove. I thought about having it hauled the 3hr.trip home but decided to roll the dice and drive her home. PO…

I've just upgraded my Drop Cam HD to Drop Cam Pro for surveillance outside the garage and can make it public at my discretion. I'm thinking I might take one with me to the Lake George Grand National but will need to test on some "off sit" wifi hotspots.
If you have fast broadband, I've turned the camera on the corner of the garage on a bit, which you can see by clicking on http://dropc.am/p/BQTSLH
You will see the current parts car in…

Does anybody have a detailed set of instructions on how the heater core comes out???
Is this from the inside on the car (disassemble the dash?) or from the engine compartment??

The new for 1963 tilt (adjustable) steering column was not included in the 1963 Cadillac Shop Manual. It instead came out as an 11 page Addendum which I have scanned and uploaded and can be accessed by clicking on

I recently got the new 2014 NAPA Auto parts Classics calendar and it starts with Dec 2013 and a picture of a real nice Red 1963 Eldorado Biarritz convertible. What a nice way to end 2013.

I have noticed many members simply post a "Status Update" when they want to ask a question or tell others about something instead of posting to the Message Board. The problem with this is that it is only seen by those you have "friended" on the site and believe most of you want the entire group to see your posts.
With that in mind, I have disabled the Status Update feature and instead encourage you to click on Message…

Hi Guys,
I have a 64 Deville Convertible with the turbo hydra-matic without the controlled differential. I have fluid dripping out of 3 bolts on my Differential Carrier at a nice rate. I would like to correct this I have already re torqued them and the other bolts on the carrier. They still drip. In the manual section 11-10 note 9 they tell how to remove the carrier. What I don't understand is why do I have to remove the axle shafts to replace the gasket on the carrier.…

Well, I took a gamble on this one as the outside cover is obviously poor to fair at best, but the pages are stated as nice. Hopefully the pages on the inside are nice as the seller indicated!
I have been getting nervous that I would not find a 1964 Dealer Data Book as we approach 2014 and the 50th Year Anniversary look that model year. As you know from the 1963 Dealer Data Book, which I have been pulling info out of and including in the newsletters, has a wealth of information. …

Since I didn't want to have too many rows of links, I have added additional sub links under some of the main header links up top. For example, if you wanted to check out our Chapter Shirts, you would hover your mouse cursor over the 63/64 Chapter link which then opens up a drop down box with the following links:…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
