What should the vacuum be at for the door locks and trunk?
I am, at idle, around 18-20 inHg, but it does not seem to be enough to raise or lower the door locks or release the trunk. So I vacuum tested the drivers door and it checked out (no leaks/ held vacuum), still would not raise or lower lock, should the other doors be checked or do I just not have enough vacuum?

So, I tore apart the dash to find where the vacuum lines ran. I still could find no kink or reason why it was clogged. I cut the lines and determined it was clogged somewhere by the control valve. I just replaced the lines from the point that I cut and everything works great. Still don't know what clogged them both and one line on the passenger, but they are replaced and they all work. That was a huge pain in the butt, just an FYI.
ok so I checked all the way to the control valve, this where I am getting frustrated. So I checked the red line and it has about 20 inHg going into the control valve, the main vacuum line to the switches have 20 inHg, tested the switches (lock and unlock) both read 20 inHG, tested the actuators all work with manual testing with vacuum pump, took the control valve out and bench tested that, (basically ran vacuum to where the red lines go and sucked on which valve I wanted to open) seemed to function properly. The passenger is the only one working and it only works to unlock, so I moved lines and then it opened the other valve to lock, I am not sure where to go from here. I did notice that I am not getting much vacuum from the drivers lines (both lock and unlock), so I will check that tomorrow, but really there is not much to a vacuum system, other than leaks which I do not appear to have, so this is really irritating.
Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
