Timing cover corrosion
Hey fellas if you're rebuilding your 429 check your timing cover for corrosion behind the water pump Russ and I had 429 engine number two on the dyno today had shimed the oil pump spring for a little more oil pressure he likes to see about 40 lb not 30. had a little too much oil pressure 100 lb remove the oil pump cover to remove the shim engine oil was all milky it had only run about 5 seconds before we shut it down removed the drain plug and ran the oil out it was all milky a little stream…See More
"I do believe the book calls for ATF in the Power Steering Reservoir.
I do find mine gets low about every 6 mos, but no drips to my knowledge. As Dennis said, I think Lucas makes a Power Steering additive for a stop leak application.

Some of the Auto Parts stores now carry Power Steering fluids that have a stop leak additive. I believe Prestone and Valvoline are two of them. If I am a little low, I use one of them. Seems to work…"

Dino Diaries - July 11, 2025 - Busted!
So I am starting to crawl around under Dino seeing what I can fix or upgrade and as I was putting the trans linkage in a few nights ago, the rear trans mount caught my eye. I remembered that these 64 THM rear mounts should lift the rear up a bit but it sure looked flat. I had a sneaky suspicion the rear mount was flattened or busted. Bleeding brakes
I have finished replacing all the rear suspension and am at the last item, which is bleeding the rear brakes. I am using the Jason Edge vacuum pump method and all went well with the rear passenger side but when I started the driver rear, no fluid came out when I opened the bleeder!When I took it apart there was fluid in the line. Now what should be done? Do I check the line from the splitter to the hose? Or is there another check before just replacing the control valve?See More

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up.
