Passenger ash tray - 63CDV

Hi all,

Kind of an unimportant thing but one that drives me nuts. How do you stop the passenger ash tray from rattling? Its also very hard to open. I see the latch mechanism but don't see any adjustment on it. Has anyone else ran into this?

Tired of trying to drown it out with the radio.

Thanks for any advice.

1964 Cadillac Fuel Pump.

I am going to install a new Fuel Pump this week. It looks very simple in the manual. Although I do have one question. The manual says to make sure the camshaft eccentric is at the highest point. Could someone please tell me how to do this? Thank you.

Waking up an old trumpet horn

I just purchased a used trumpet horn at the Hershey swap meet. I was missing the trumpet horn, but had the two smaller horns. The two smaller horns both worked fine. I cleaned the bracket and bolted the trumpet horn down tight where one of the other horns was and hooked the power wire up to it. I heard a very weak honk and then just the click of the relay. The horn sounds like it has some corrosion shaking around inside of it. I'd hate to have to rebuild it. Any suggestions for reviving…

The Elvis-Scalade ....with a 1964 75 Series in Sept Self Starter

I finally got around to scanning last month's self starter page with my Escalade EXT featured. It wears the Elvis license plate and as a fan of the man call it the Elvis-Scalade.    As you will read, I love my Escalade EXT and it has easily been the most versatile, useful vehicle I have ever owned.  This vehicle simply defines Luxury Sports Utility Truck,

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

accumulator dryer

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
